Simon began his business career in Los Angeles, Ca. in 1977 as an insurance agent for National Life and Accident.
In 1982 he joined Sentry Insurance as a multi lines agent and a year later was promoted to the position of sales manager for the Los Angeles, Ca. sales office. In 1986 he accepted the sales manager position in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. Then in 1989 Simon accepted the sales manager position in Overland Park, Ks.
In 1991, Simon opened his own independent insurance agency specializing in employee benefits. Recognizing the need by small employers for human resources assistance, the agency began offering human resources consulting services to his clients.
In 2007 Simon began speaking across the country as a national seminar speaker providing continuing education courses on Human Resources and the Law, FMLA Compliance, Sexual Harassment and other human resources and employee related topics.
In 2009, Simons first book Mixed Up, Sound Mixing Tips for Serious Non Professionals , was published and released by Authorhouse. Simons second book titled Mixed Up, HR Tips for Serious Non Professionals is scheduled to be released in 2011.
Simon is an active member of the Greater Kansas City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Belton and Raymore Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Lions Club and a member of the Park & Recreation Board for the city of Raymore, MO.
There is another side to Simon. He is an accomplished musician and his credits include Sonny & Cher, The Righteous Brothers and Darlene Love. Simons early musical adventures are documented in the 1996 book titled, Surfin Guitars, Instrumental Bands of the Sixties by Robert J. Dalley and published by Popular Culture Inc.
