This course is about hiring employees and the legal issues you need to think about during each step. When the course is over you should be able to identify potential legal problems in the pre-hiring process and the hiring process.

Leadership Skills for Managers
“Warning" Discretion advised: This course uses imagery and content that may not be appropriate for all corporate cultures or environments. This course will help you identify effective communication skills and effective planning and organizing skills.
Workplace Discrimination
Upon completion of this learning event, the Learner will know how to identify the legal issues associated with discrimination in the workplace and how to minimize or eliminate a company’s chances of unfavorable legal action.
Diversity in the Workplace
This course will teach employees about working in a diverse workplace and how they can turn perceived differences to the company’s advantage.
Lawful Terminations
This course on lawful termination will teach you the Human Resource Department’s legal obligations during the termination process, during layoffs and plant closings, and post-separation.
Drug Free Workplace
This course will teach employees about the importance of keeping drugs out of the workplace and what they can do to help.
Workplace Violence
You will learn the major causes and types of workplace violence, their warning signs and how to prevent it. Employees will learn to define workplace violence, the different types and sources, and the methods used to prevent workplace violence according to OSHA recommendations and other sources.
Sexual Harassment
Sexual harassment and discrimination are concerns for every business that has more than one employee. Upon completion employees will demonstrate knowledge of sexual harassment and discrimination and what to do if they become victims.
CA-Sexual Harassment
Upon completion the learner will have displayed the ability to identify sexual harassment and discrimination laws and how they are applicable to employees in California.
California AB 1825 Requirment
Upon completion the learner will have displayed the ability to recognize sexual harassment and discrimination laws, protected statuses, and their responsibilities as managers. This course also contains several scenarios and meets California’s AB 1825 requirement for a two-hour runtime.
